Reporting Channel

EMMAD, S.A. and EMMAD II – Embalagens Técnicas, Lda. are governed by the highest ethical standards of honesty and integrity.

Despite all the prevention and control mechanisms in place and the cross-cutting concerns with compliance in force and constantly being updated, no organisation is immune to the possibility of illegal activities occurring which, if not promptly identified, can seriously harm not only the organisation and any individuals involved, but also the public interest itself.

This is particularly true of behaviour that may jeopardise the environment, public health, public safety, consumer rights, the protection of personal privacy and network security, or that represents the misuse of public funds, money laundering or violent and organised crime.

People who work in organisations or who have professional relationships with them are often the first to detect the existence of illegal activities or, at least, to suspect such a possibility.

It is important that these people feel encouraged to report such situations without fear of reprisals.

In pursuit of this objective and in compliance with the provisions of Law No. 93/2021 of 20 December, the various entities/institutions that make up (a) EMMAD, S.A. and EMMAD II – Embalagens Técnicas, Lda. have created internal channels for reporting infringements, encouraging anyone who is aware of irregularities in the context of their professional relationship with any entity/institution of the Group to report these situations, which would otherwise not be detected.

EMMAD, S.A. and EMMAD II – Embalagens Técnicas, Lda. are committed to ensuring the confidentiality of the identity of whistleblowers, protecting them against any act of retaliation, investigating all reports submitted and, subsequently, acting diligently to put an end to any irregular situation that may be identified.
